Installation of servo planetary reducer
With the advantages of small size, high precision, high transmission rate and wide deceleration range, servo planetary
reducer is often the first choice for the users. Some clients hope to install this machine by themselves to save installation cost, however, violation operating may cause output shaft breaking off, thus resulting in re-purchase and unnecessary losses. Now we specially organized this article to show you how to properly install the servo planetary reducer.
1. Before installation, confirm whether the motor and reducer are intact and connecting dimensions are matched, i.e. the dimensions and matching tolerances of the positioning boss, input shaft and reducer groove.
2. Take out the screw from the dust-proof hole in the reducer flange, adjust the clamping ring of the PCS system to make side holes align with dust-proof hole, then screw the inner hexagon to tighten and remove the motor shaft key.
3. Connect the motor to the reducer. Make sure the output shaft of the servo planetary reducer is concentric with the input shaft of the motor, at the meanwhile, their outer flanges are kept in parallel. Otherwise, concentricity deviation may cause motor shaft break or reducer gear wear.
In addition, it is strictly forbidden to hit with a hammer or the like during installation to prevent damage to the bearing or gear due to excessive axial force or radial force. Screw the mounting bolts before tightening bolts.
Remove the rust preventive oil at the the connection points of motor input shaft, positioning boss and servo planetary reducer with gasoline or zinc-sodium water before installation. That is to ensure the connection tightness and running flexibility, also to prevent unnecessary wear.
Keep the motor shaft keyway be perpendicular to the tightening bolt when connecting the motor to the reducer. In order to keep uniform force, firstly screw the mounting bolts at any diagonal positions in loose condition, then screw the bolts at the other diagonals and finally tighten all the bolts.
It is strictly required to tighten the tightening bolts in mounting the servo reducer without any screw looses. The bolts must be screwed according to the fixed torque data. After fixing, check and test.
