Tips for cement industries to maintain the apron feeder

Apron feeder is a kind of continuous conveying machine widely used in mines, metallurgy, building materials, ports, coal and chemical industrial and mining enterprises. It mainly provides a continuous and uniform supply and delivery of various heavy materials or abrasive bulk materials from a storage bin or a transfer funnel to crushers, batching equipment or conveying equipment. Properly operate and maintain the apron feeder is an indispensable part of ensuring efficient production, especially for the cement enterprises, correct installation, commission and operation and timely maintenance are necessary to guarantee the good running and prolong the service life of the apron feeder. Maintenance of the apron feeder is as follow:

1. Check and make sure the power supply of the reducer, traction fluid and lubricant level are normal before starting the machine.

2. The working environment temperature of the reducer does not exceed 40°C and the temperature rise is lower than 40°C.

3. Close the gate before shutdown to ensure restart with no-load, which can protect the motor, reducer and belt, and extend the service life of the equipment.

4. Regularly check, repair and maintain the relevant apron feeder parts during the usage of machine.

5. Implement lubrication in all lubrication parts according to regulations.

6. Close the gate before maintenance.
